Dear Governor Polis,

You promised to protect workers, small businesses, and our economy. For two years in a row, you kept that promise by standing with workers and protecting Colorado’s Labor Peace Act. Today, we’re asking you to keep your word to Colorado once again.HB26‑1005 would repeal the Labor Peace Act, stripping away essential worker protections and undermining the constitutional right to freedom of association. This rollback threatens 80 years of worker safeguards that have been vital for countless families, especially in industries where Latino and Hispanic workers are heavily represented.
Repealing this law would also raise costs for small businesses and consumers, disproportionately impacting low‑income families. By removing protections for workers who do not wish to join a union or pay union dues, this bill would further harm Colorado’s workforce, especially the most vulnerable.
We respectfully ask you to veto NO on HB26‑1005 and stand up for the rights of all Colorado workers.
